Quick Start to OneNote

Quick Start to OneNote

OneNote is a completely free desktop app that lets you take and organize all your notes. I like to think of it as a digital brain where you can capture pretty much anything you can think of and store it for future reference. You can use it for meeting notes, class homework, to-do lists, annotating web articles and even drawing out your own ideas on the page.

And, because it's from Microsoft, it will feel very familiar if you're familiar with other Office apps like Word or Excel once you learn a few key things in this course.

This course is designed to be short, sweet and to the point. No fluff, just the fundamentals you need to know to get you up and running in OneNote. By the end of this course, you'll be familiar enough with OneNote to start figuring out how you can use it for your own purposes. As a bonus, I'll share some of the ways I use it to help spark those ideas for your own productivity.

Please note that there are two versions of Microsoft OneNote. This course covers OneNote (formerly called "OneNote 2016") and not OneNote for Windows 10. However, both versions can run on Windows 10 and have very similar functionality--it's just OneNote has more powerful functionality than OneNote for Windows 10.
