Be in control of your Impulsive Overeating

Be in control of your Impulsive Overeating

Requirements

  • Desire to be in control of your impulsive overeating and willingness to learn and practice newly learnt skills.

Course Description:

We usually don’t feel great about ourselves if we can’t control our impulsive overeating. Occasionally we might joke about not being able to resist our favourite junk food, but the reality is that we have become overly dependent on junk food, we eat when we are not hungry, we struggle to control our emotions, and often use food when we get stressed, angry, frustrated or simply bored. We might overeat impulsively even if we keep on putting on weight, or we might restrict our diet or do a boot camp, but unless we change our attitude and learn skills to control our impulsive overeating, soon after we struggle again.

What we are focusing on is helping you be in control of your impulsive overeating at all times. We are offering you an opportunity to better understand and control your impulsive overeating by learning about predispositions of impulsivity, how to address your triggers, emotions, lapses and relapses and create a sustainable change.

What you will learn:

·     You will understand the tricky nature of impulsivity and prepare a bulletproof plan to stop this vicious cycle.

·     You will learn proven skills and strategies based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing.

·     You will learn how to change your mindset, attitude, and behaviour to create long-lasting change.

·     You will be able to respond to your impulses, urges and temptations instead of reacting.

·     You will be equipped to deal with setbacks and lapses and will be able to get back on track sooner.

·     You will manage your emotions, triggers, and urges effectively instead of mindlessly overeating.

The research indicates that the majority of diets fail and the boot camp approach to health and fitness is not sustainable. The secret is to understand yourself and your habits, learn how-to skills and develop a plan that can be maintained over time.

Understand how to plan well, how to regulate your emotions instead of reacting to them, change your attitude about your body and food, and create a different mindset.  Understand how stress and certain triggers make it difficult for you to be in control of your behaviour. It’s hard to be in control of your behaviour if you don’t always understand what triggers or motivates you, if you struggle to regulate yourself, or if food has become a reward, escape and comfort for you.

And You Can Trust Your Teacher!

After researching the area of dysfunctional impulsivity as a part of my Doctoral Thesis, I created an online program to assist people in their battle to control impulsive behaviors. This program is designed to help you to be in control of your impulsive overeating.  I realized that if impulsivity is never addressed then it can negatively impact on all aspects of our lives. It makes us feel ashamed about our actions, weak or lacking discipline, and causes us to give up on our dreams and goals. I believe you deserve to know that there is a chance to overcome these difficult behaviors and become stronger. If you don’t fight impulsivity, it will find a way to be in control of you always.

Who is the target audience?

  • If you can't resist your urges and temptations

  • If you feel out of control around food

  • If you are obsessing about food and tend to overeat

  • If you are open or a closet overeater

  • If you tend to minimise the negative consequences of your overeating

  • If you are sick and tired of dieting and failing

  • If you overeat impulsively and mindlessly

  • If you are simply want to be in control of your eating habits at all times.

If you want to be in control of your life, you need to learn to be in control of your behaviours regardless of your emotional state or what is happening around you. You can start by learning to be in control of your eating behaviour and develop a better relationship with yourself and food.
