Draw a Realistic Pencil Portrait from a Photograph
Draw a Realistic Pencil Portrait from a Photograph
Today might be your lucky day! Because today, we're going to learn about portrait drawing with pencils.
Some background: I've drawn thousands of portraits after going to the St. Lucas college in Gent (Belgium). My artistic abilities were at the next level, meaning: Realistic sketches became more important. Since then, I've taught classes in several countries and have earned a side-income by going to fairs and sketching portraits.
Portraits are actually not that hard once you get the gist of it. Your attention to detail and your focus on the right techniques are all that matters, combined with a little practice and some experience. The more you do it, the better you get at it. In this video series, I will show you what you need to pay attention to most. The pitfalls, mistakes, emphasis on certain aspects or facial features... these will all be revealed in a video selection with me as your somewhat humorous narrator/instructor. I will have sped up most of the videos so you won't fall asleep, because I like to get to the point and not waste your time too much. After all, after you see me do it, it's time for you to start your own little project, isn't it?
So be sure to get these videos if you're eager to learn something new, improve your art skills and create beautiful portraits like the one I made from my wife's photograph.
I will see you inside the course!
