Hi there and welcome to this Ableton Tutorial for beginners. I feel honored to tell you that I will show you step by step how to make a beat in Ableton and how this can help you later on with mixing, recording and mastering your own tracks! In this course you will first and for most learn how to create an instrumental in Ableton Live. Important is that you get all the information in combination with secrets provided by Lavito Beats. I have over 10 years of experience in Ableton Live and even more than 15 when it comes to music production. It is handy to play an instrument like guitar or piano but it is definitely not required for this course. All you really need are the following things:

- Access to at least one VST (for melodies)

- Access to at least one drum pack (for drums)

- Passion for beatmaking

The first chapters are all about getting to know the software more and have an idea of what it is all about. After that you will be more guided into recording the melodies and having a look at some drumcomputers on which you can start making the drums. If you have any synthesizer at home, please mess around with it and use it for this course. This because it is proven that when you have an instrument laying around while producing, you will often catch the vibe even more and be more ready to play and try something new!

At the end of this course (which takes max 3 hours) you will be able to make a decent beat in Ableton Live and know more about mixing, mastering and equalizing! It is also a very important thing to know that Ableton is actually very hand ons it just looks scary in the beginning. One of the things I love the most about Ableton is that it has the "Live" function so you can literally play your beat directly in the Club as a part of a set. Other than in other DAW's where you have to render your beat first and the load it in some kind of DJ Software.
