Fashion Design · How To Tie A Scarf Like A True Français

Bienvenue!(Welcome!)

Thanks so much for registering for this course.

I had a great time producing the content.

Most of the courses I create are business related.

However, I decided to take a bit of a break and share a little of my life living as an American expat in France.

Learning how to properly tie a scarf?

That's not something I considered needing to know prior to my moving here! (smile)

Whether its in Paris, Bordeaux, Brittany, Provence, on the Île de Ré or the Cote'dAzur...the French know their scarves...

The French are well known for their commitment...er...obsession to accessories and their absolute non-wavering devotion to the scarf.

There's even a saying here that says... "it's best to wear a scarf, even at night, to prevent one from coming down with a bad cold or making the current cold...worse."

What???

Every French person, man, woman and child, knows and understands the concept... the scarf they chose to compliment their outerwear and clothing for the day, is filled to the brim with signals and social meaning.

Having spent the past few years of my "semi-retirement" in France and now a proud card-carrying "carte sejour" (resident card) persona, I have corrected the error of my ways (some by accident, some with practice)... on the proper way to wear a scarf.

"Une écharpe"(a scarf) is a classic staple of every French wardrobe.

Frenchwomen and Frenchmen are notoriusly famous for wearing a scarf in every season.

Fall. Winter. Spring. Summer.

Only in the hottest of hot weather in the summer does a French person take heed from rocking a scarf.

A beautiful scarf in the right fabric and pattern is a fabulous way to add a bit of French chic to your daily wardrobe.

Something so small...yet has the ability and impact to completly change your visual.

Properly wrapped and knotted...

By the sea, in the mountains, city vibes, in the office, meeting with clients, brunch with friends, off to the market, a weekend retreat...

A beautifully designed and knotted scarf is assured to take your attire to the next level.

This course will have you off and running in no time.

I've included all of my secrets and a few of my favorite scarves in this course "How To Tie A Scarf Like A True Français".

In France, there are three different kinds of scarves Frenchwomen and Frenchmen and Frenchchildren wear in different seasons...and I cover all three styles in detail.

I've got my favorite French scarf knots..and by the finish of this course...you will too...

So, if you currently have no idea how to to properly French knot a scarf....no worries...

Neither did I....up until a few years ago...

I'm just a countrygirl from upstate New York who didn't grow up in a family that taught me how to properly French knot a scarf when I was 3 or 4 years old.

That said...

Now that I live in France I had to get onboard with the program...early...

Practice makes perfect...

Oui?

Let's get started...
