It is designed for the consumer, those who want to enter the industry and those who work in healthcare but want a better understanding. This course is taught by a Health and Life insurance agent licensed in 6 states and formerly licensed in all 50. It will provide a high level overview for the basic concepts in 101 and as students progress into 202 and 303 (separate classes), they should have a good working knowledge of the field.
The course is broken down into 3 main parts with a quiz at the end.
It starts with the history of the insurance industry as a whole as well as moving to health insurance and how it relates today. It will then move into the general workings of the industry and how a plan works. Terminology will be interspersed through both sections with the ending part explaining the terms more in detail and tying them into the first 2 sections.
Students will be able to see quiz results in real time and if needed are able to go back into parts of the course to review concepts.
