Learn to make your first quilt!

Welcome to my 'perfect for beginners' quilting course! My name is Ana and I am a quilting and dressmaking pattern designer, sewing tutor and seamstress.

Through a wide variety of video tutorials, those new to quilting will learn everything from which materials to use and the best and most practical quilting tools, to different sewing techniques, block construction, how to quilt and sandwich layers together and to create and sew bias tape. You will also get the pattern pieces and a booklet with all the instructions and steps to use as reference for the future, so that you can make the quilt again as many times as you want.

I am basically taking you through the whole process on how to sew the Novice Stripe quilt and everything you learn, you will be able to apply to any other quilt you wish to make in the future. Sounds good, right?

Design details

The Novice Stripe quilt features a beautiful and simple design made out of 6 blocks sewn together and with a rectangle in the middle of each one of them.

You can mix and match the colours of the background with the rectangles as you please. Maybe you like prints? Or you prefer choosing some vibrant solids to combine with a softer palette? The size of this quilt (34×50” or 87x126cm) is ideal if you have lots of scraps of fabric at home. It is also perfect for quilt novices as it is easier to work with and sew due to its size and design. The quilt will look very nice hanging on a wall, as a gift to a loved one, on an armchair or for a baby’s crib.

What do you get with this course?

If you have doubts regarding what you will get when buying the Novice Stripe quilt online course, I am sharing some more information below:

1. The course is divided into sections and each one of the is as well divided in lectures. You will also find the files for the pattern pieces for you to print at home (A4 and US Letter available) and the booklet with the instructions within a file called Resources.
   

2. The idea is for you to follow through the videos and use the booklet as reference when necessary.
   

3. You can go back and watch the videos as many times as you need. And there is an option for you to make notes or place bookmarks along the way as well.
   

4. There is also the possibility for you to ask me questions in the Q&A section of the course or by sending me an email to [email protected].
   

5. There is no expiration date for this course (great!), so you will be able to access again and again it at any time in the future.
