ANSYS Tutorials on Advanced Structural Analysis
ANSYS Tutorials on Advanced Structural Analysis
This course is a tutorial on ANSYS Workbench. It takes you through two modules of ANSYS Workbench i.e. Static Structural and Explicit Dynamics used mainly for Advanced Structural Analysis. Various numerical are solved to explain various concepts and features of the software. Various assignments are given for practice so that expertise can be gained in handling the software.
Mechanical/Civil/Automobile/Production/Manufacturing Engineering and Architecture students can benefit from this course.
We start with Spring Analysis which includes analysis of Helical Coil Compression, Tension and Conical Spring. Then we move on to Comparative Analysis of Various Cross-Section of Springs and analyze which cross-section would be better for shock absorption purpose.
Next we go for various types of Truss Analysis and the various reaction forces, stresses and strain calculations on them.
Then we study how to plot stress vs. strain for bars under various loading conditions. These graphs can be compared with graphs made either by theory method or by plotting using Excel.
Further, we move to Tension and Compression Test Analysis which can be done using static structural analysis for static bars and using explicit dynamics module for bars in motion.
All these advanced studies are important as we study the theory and its comparison by using ANSYS Workbench helps us compare the solutions.
