This course will equip beginners with knowledge of up to 30 chord progressions and their rhythmic patterns.

Musicians/Song writers have used various chord progressions and rhythmic patterns to compose many songs over centuries and decades, and it is pertinent to note that songs/music will still be composed and produced for centuries and decades to come.

This is an important course to musicians (Piano players, Guitar players, Bass players, Saxophone players, Trumpet players, etc.) Song writers, Music producers and Composers because learning and understanding chord progressions and their rhythmic patterns is essential and critical to composing and producing songs and music.

We will be looking at the definition of Chord Progression, Overview of the Great Stave, Major and Minor chords, Chord Inversions of the Major and Minor chords, Diatonic chord progression, Rhythmic Subdivisions (Whole note, half note, quarter note, eighth note and sixteenth note). Also, we would be looking at Time Signatures (2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 3/8, etc.) We would also look at musical rest (Whole rest, half rest, quarter rest, eighth rest and sixteenth rest).
