Guitar Miscellany - Guitar Lessons - Volume 1
Guitar Miscellany - Guitar Lessons - Volume 1
Guitar Miscellany - What is it?
The Oxford English Dictionary defines Miscellany as "a group or collection of different items; a mixture."
And that is what this is. Guitar Miscellany is a collection or mix of Classic Tracks, Jazz Standards, Rhythm and Blues, Country, Folk, Funk and Instrumental Compositions and Custom Written Exercises. Through Guitar Miscellany you explore a diverse collection of essential, transferable, authentic, core guitar techniques, all in one course. Volume 1 includes "Another One Bites The Dust", Django's "Tears", "Fingerstyle Essentials" and much more. (See Course Contents Below)
Guitar Miscellany - makes Solo Guitarists and Singer/Songwriters, like you, sound more experienced and rounded and enable you to stand out from the crowd. You will do this by adding simple but authentic bass lines, simple guitar chords (some that you may already know), subtle nuances and other foundational left and right hand techniques to your playing. You will instantly sound more realistic and genuine in a wide variety of the most popular styles, unlike other guitar players who just play straight chords in the same way, all the way through every song, no matter what its genre or style.
Guitar Miscellany - requires No Music Reading! This course takes a quick and simple one or two string approach, unlike other courses that just teach fingerings that are impossible to play, use sheet music, complex timings and take years to learn.
I Am A Beginner
My goal is to demystify this stuff, because at its core it's not really that complicated.
As soon as you learn to play a few chords you can learn to add in these essential techniques. The videos break everything down into bite sized pieces and together we go through each key and chord note by note. You will learn by repeating each run slowly. These are not going to interfere with your playing; they are going to improve your playing.
This is a perfect time to start expanding your knowledge and to build a solid foundation of skills to enable you to begin to master many styles and genres. Remember that this course has no complicated fingerings, barre-chords are not required, and neither is the ability to read music. You will instantly sound impressive across a number of styles. No one will ever believe that you are just a beginner.
Learn By Doing
You play along WITH each video. This is not a course where you watch me demonstrate each technique and then you try to figure out what I just did and decipher it. You play ALONG WITH ME. I break each section down into tiny pieces and we play them together, bar by bar, as we learn the whole tune. So you are going to have to work – but not too hard. It’s only a few notes at a time after all! And, I try to make sure that we have fun while doing so.
After all, it is learning by doing.
To Go Fast, Go Slow
There are many paradoxes in life.
Some statements are true. Some are Untrue. Some are both!
This sentence has seven words. Clearly, untrue.
So the opposite must be true. Or is it? Hmm…
This sentence does not have seven words.
To Go Fast, Go Slow
That brings me to the statement “To Go Fast, Go Slow.”
This is a comprehensive course that is nearly 5 and a half hour long. The good news is that you do not have to finish the course to start using what you learn straight away. In fact, the best way to use this course is to go slowly.
The course is taught in a slow, deliberate yet dynamic fashion. You play everything a note at a time, each one building on what came before. How far you choose to go with it is up to you.
I Cannot Read Music
You do not have to be able to read music to learn how to play the various styles taught in this course. Also, the videos are very clear, shot from two points of view. Everything is broken down clearly. And slowly.
All examples taught are notated in TAB. There are pdf files for you to download and keep.
Variety Is The Spice of Life
Never get bogged down again when accompanying others on guitar or when you are looking for ideas as to what to play.
Unlike other courses which concentrate on just one style of playing or technique, Guitar Miscellany gives you the opportunity to explore the essential techniques of the most popular genres of music. These are learned in the context of classic songs and custom exercises of each genre. Dip in and out of each lesson as and when you want. This ensures that you will never again be stuck for something to play.
I Don’t Have Time?
Everyone has time to learn a few notes on a few strings. Surely it is worth the effort to be the player that you know you can be?
"Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it.
The time will pass anyway."
- Earl Nightingale
Love Your Audience and Be Remembered.
Use what you learn and stand out. Create dynamic introductions, interludes and endings to your playing. Use your skills in a musical manner. Use them throughout your playing to add depth, colour and shade. Use the runs, licks and chords effectively to increase tension. Then release it with the next run. Bring the listener with you.
Unlike other guitarists, never be stuck, and, be remembered.
Sounds Like Hard Work
There is an awful lot of very good information in these lessons. This information can be readily applied to many of the other tunes which you already play. The techniques and genres are deliberately chosen for 2 reasons; they are popular tunes and the techniques required are timeless and essential and can be easily transferred to many other songs and styles of music.
This is what I call “the gold dust,” the nuggets that are contained within the course that will transform all of your playing.
Final Words
There is a saying in business “Steal Quality Shamelessly.”
And that is the opportunity that this course gives to you. Get all the top quality solid techniques to enable you to sound authentic across Classic Rock, Jazz, Blues, Rhythm, Lead, Fingerstyle and much, much more.
It really is as simple as that. So what are you waiting for? Go on. Get this course now. And be remembered as the great guitar player that you are meant to be.
