This Reading Comprehension learning programme provides a very easy and highly effective method to solve the reading comprehension part of the UPSC - GENERAL STUDIES (Paper-II)- (Civil Services Aptitude Test - CSAT – Paper II)-Prelims examination.

UPSC Prelims - General Studies Paper-II - Syllabus -(CSAT)

It comprises of 80 questions from the following topics carrying a maximum of 200 marks to be solved in 2 hours.

• Comprehension.

• Logical reasoning & analytical ability.

• Decision making & problem solving.

• General mental ability. • Basic numeracy (numbers & their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X level),   Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency, etc. – Class X level)

General Studies Paper-II of IAS Exam is a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%.

A very small % of aspirants clear this examination. 

The reading comprehension passages in the UPSC – Civil Service – CSAT – Paper II are pretty tough and are at the Inferential, Evaluative or Applied level. The answer options given are tricky and very close to each other and requires great comprehending skills. You need to start practicing at the earliest.
