This course provides a planning tool for achieving your objectives based on the concept that the difference between where we are and where we want to be is what we do. This approach incorporates the one Step at a time philosophy that breaks things into manageable chunks and simplifies the execution. This presentation provides the tools to help you achieve your objectives. It helps by defining the goals and the milestones that form the path to achievement. At the end of this session, you will have begun developing an Achievement Statement and an Objectives Diagram that outlines the steps you will take and the resources required.

The Four-Step Approach to Setting and Achieving Objectives introduces you to the planning process by identifying the elements of a plan and how to develop those elements into something that will be useful. It explains what is involved in planning with a purpose in mind. It describes what to consider when developing a plan to be used as a tool for achievement. The building blocks of planning are defined, and how they relate to each other is explained. The course includes a format for creating that plan and personalizing it to your Objective. Upon completing the course, you will identify an objective, set goals for achieving the Objective, and determine the milestones necessary to meet those goals.
