I came to the United States at 16 years old and was unable to speak English. It was hard to make friends and getting help from teachers was difficult. Also, my English classes were almost useless. So, I came up with my own way of learning.

I practiced in my room for hours for a whole summer. During the semester, I would practice in my parents’ car until bedtime.

The exercises you will be learning in this course are not like the traditional ones you learn in school. They are designed to EXPOSE you in the English language for long periods of time because that's how you learn effectively compared to passively listening to a lecture.

You will also have to track your progress by recording your sessions. The last thing you want is to be doing the exercises over and over again without knowing whether you are improving or not.

Also, recording yourself gives you a way to look back and appreciate how far you will have come. Imagine listening to your audio recordings two years from now. It’s going to be a good feeling.

It's not going to be easy, but not too difficult either. If you have the patience and discipline to train, you should be okay.
