How to Conduct Successful and Converting Surveys
How to Conduct Successful and Converting Surveys
Surveys are one of the most popular tools when it comes to collecting quantitative data. They are favoured by many researchers, marketers, and product owners because they can be set up comparatively quickly and it is quite easy to read and understand the data that comes out of them. Still, there are many factors that need to be considered in order to not mess up your conversion rate, keep your participants entertained while they fill out your survey, and get the most out of your survey responses.
Picking the right survey tool can also be a challenge! For me, there is no absolute “right” or “wrong”, but the decision on the software highly depends on the specific use case. I will talk about two of my favourite survey design tools: SurveyMonkey and Typeform, to make this decision a bit easier for you.
SurveyMonkey is a well-established tool, used by many large corporations and offers many features. This makes it very versatile but also harder to get into it, and can even be too powerful, depending on what you need.
Typeform stands out because of its user-friendliness for both, the survey participants and creators. While they follow a limitation-by-design approach, Typeform is constantly publishing new interesting features and ways to integrate your surveys in other platforms or simply transform them into a chatbot interface.
