Stroke recovery with medical robotics
Stroke recovery with medical robotics
The objective of this course is to provide an insight of human movement from a neuromuscular perspective. Basically, it provides an integral overview of how motor planning, control and execution is performed. Furthermore, the main motor neuronal impairments are reviewed and a neuro rehabilitation perspective using biomedical robotics as the main approach is analyzed from a clinical, engineering and market perspective. Current top research, clinical interventions and market products are presented along the course.
· Knowing a medical vision and engineering il of as planning, control and execution of human movement, coordinated by the central nervous system occurs.
· Know what are the main conditions that affect the coordination of the motor system.
· Learn the principles of research topics in rehabilitation engineering fields, including stroke, spinal cord injury, brain-computer interfaces, speech impairments, Parkinson's , Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis .
· Learn the latest engineering approaches to these problems.
Professionals who complete the program will be able to ...
· Have an understanding of how the planning, control and motor execution of the human body works in the central nervous system
· Learn what are the current clinical and research techniques that exist in rehabilitation engineering for different conditions of the central nervous system.
· To have an approach with researchers, highly experienced professionals and leading companies in the market at a national and international level that can provide an interesting vision of these issues.
