In this course, yoga instructor Alice Rawsthorne has applied anatomy and yoga principles to design classes to help the stretch and strengthen different areas of the body. This course is designed for people who consider themselves to be inflexible, and would like to improve their overall strength and flexibility to support their physical health - if you're after a speedy six pack, this course is not the one for you, but if you're looking to build functional strength, flexibility and muscle control to help with everyday tasks then enroll now!

The classes in this course are not traditional yoga classes, but do draw from some of the key concepts of physical asana (movement) practice in yoga. If you're interested in the more philosophical and spiritual aspects of yoga, take a look at my other course :) the classes in this course focus solely on the physical anatomy and physiology of the body to help build strength and flexibility.

This stretching course includes:

- a 20 minute upper body stretching class, focusing on stretching and strengthening the muscles of the chest and shoulders

- a 20 minute core focused class, to help build strength and awareness of the core muscles and twist out the spine

- a 20 minute lower body stretching class, focusing on stretching out the hips and hamstrings

- a 10 minute stretch and strengthen class,  focusing on the muscles around the knee

You don't need any previous yoga experience to benefit from these classes, and no special equipment is required either.
