By the time you finish this module, the cover letter, as you know it, will no longer exist. In its place will be a tool that has been uniquely customized to maximize your chances of getting your dream job.

But before you learn how to write a truly effective cover letter, you must first be clear on that letter's purpose. For instance, what if your letter were able to influence readers in such a way that they would have no doubt that you are the only viable candidate for the position? What if your letter was so different and so unique that it allowed you to immediately stand out from the competition?

This is the goal we want to achieve with your new cover letter. But to do so, you must first change the way you look at cover letters.


4. Linkedin Lab

LinkedIn is a very powerful tool, boasting some 660 million members across virtually every country in the world. With it, you can connect with professionals in your field, network with your peers, and earn valuable recommendations.

But on top of the individuals present on LinkedIn, some 300 million companies also feature pages on this platform. This means it is quickly evolving into a place where you can connect with potential employers and supplement the information contained in your resume.

Perhaps the most shocking statistic is that a whopping 97% of recruiters use LinkedIn in the course of performing their duties. And you know what else? 70% of people in charge of hiring decisions have decided NOT to hire an applicant due to what they found online.

This means a professional and up-to-date LinkedIn profile is not just a tool – it’s a necessity.

What we will discuss in the LinkedIn Lab:

1. In this module, I'm going to show you how to design a comprehensive LinkedIn profile. It is important that you pay close attention because the platform uses a certain set of algorithms that only benefit those who have the right amount of data.

2. I'm also going to teach you how to use specific tools to match your profile with potential employers. Some of these are part of the LinkedIn platform itself, and some are not. Either way, I'm sure you'll find them quite beneficial.

3. Lastly, I'm going to show you how to network with your peers and make valuable connections. Remember, recruiters are contacted by more job candidates than they can count. If you want to get their attention, you need to stand out from the competition.


5. Get Noticed by Recruiters & Hiring Managers (Networking):

Your first impression needs to be your best impression. Since 90% of job seekers get hired by networking on Linkedin - this is not something you should skip in your job search strategy. Through the power of Linkedin and E-mail verification tools, we are going to show you how to  network effectively to build relationships with recruiters and hiring managers.


6. Outreach Strategy

Ultimately, If you want your dream job, you need to hunt for it. Simply sending your resume through a system without introducing yourself directly to the recruiter or hiring manager is not going to get you anywhere since this is an outdated approach. There are a several important scenarios that I want you to consider as you reach out to recruiters and hiring managers, so I’m going to walk through each scenario with you in this module.


7. Interview Intelligence

So, you've sent in your application, and you received the call! Congratulations! The hiring manager would like to learn more about you and  discuss the position details. You must put your best foot forward, maintain your stress/anxiety levels, and ask and answer questions that will make you stand out from the rest of the candidats. In this module, we are going to teach you what you should do prior to the interview AND during the interview.


8. Interview Format Strategies:

Not all interview formats are the same as each format requires a different approach. You will most likely have several interviews with the company, so we will teach you how to successfully get through each interview.
