Sourdough baking is not just about ingredients, measurements and techniques. For me and my family, it's been part of an evolution towards a more connected life. It has served as a vehicle for connecting with my senses and my soul, my community, nature as a whole and my place in it.

For me, it's also a creative process in which you are engaged with all your senses, reaching flow states as if you are dancing with the dough. My husband and I went from a passion for baking to running a co-operative artisan bakery to meeting many of our needs on a homestead.
