This cartoon-like course provides a clear framework for understanding multiple aspects of stress and coping strategies. All strategies are illustrated with memorable, real-life examples.

The course is animated because animation is:

· Engaging and fun, motivating people to stay with the content

· Can simplify complex information and make it easier to understand, remember and apply

· Shortens the time to consume the content - a 2 min video can be more effective in conveying the info covered by a stack of Ppt slides.

The framework I provide includes three aspects of stress management:

1. Physiological response

2. Reassessing and challenging exaggerated and unrealistic interpretation of the situation

3. Reassessing and challenging assessment of own coping abilities.

Physiological response is addressed briefly, with the aim of understanding the logic of the related strategies, rather than going into the details of the physiological mechanisms of stress.

Much more emphasis is put on the psycho-social aspects of stress management, i.e. points 2&3 from the list above.

Based on numerous face-to-face stress management sessions I delivered, the lecture approach is based on storytelling and is kept very practical. This approach includes the following structure:

· A brief explanation of the concept,

· A practical example (or examples) presented as a story,

· Recommendation for applying relevant coping strategies.
