Letter Writing - For Your Self-care
We all have our low days, those days where we feel we could just STAY IN BED and hide under the blankets, or maybe get up and go through the motions as usual but with a big fat FAKE SMILE on our faces so no one really sees what’s going on inside. By the end of the day we only end up feeling WORSE because we pile things on little by little, day by day, that take away our love for life or our energy and motivation, our joy.
But WHAT IF there was someone that could be there for us, each and every time we needed a LISTENING EAR or a SHOULDER TO CRY ON, and most of all to tell us those exact words that we need to hear to help us CHEER UP and to feel a loving PICK-ME UP, or an EMOTIONAL BOOSTER, to keep us MOTIVATED and CHALLENGED, especially during some of our most difficult moments?
Well there is. That person is YOU! Yup, what better person than YOU to know what your heart really needs at the moment. So this is what this course is for. You’re going to take some time for you, to TELL YOURSELF some of those things that you need or want to hear. And you’ll do this by WRITING A LETTER to yourself, or a loving message.
Think about how and why you would write a letter to a best friend, or to your child, to your partner, or to someone needing some additional kindness and encouragement. Then think about that for YOU.
In this course you I will take you through a step by step process to CREATE AND WRITE your very own love letter to yourself, that will have you practicing loads of SELF-LOVE and COMPASSION.
During this course you will:
Create something beautiful and creative
Pay attention to your personal needs and desires
Think about what you would want your best cheerleader or fan to tell you
You’ll learn how to tell yourself those things
You’ll make it in a way that you can refer back to it over and over again, each time being meaningful and supportive to what you are going through and need at the time

Realize and notice how it makes you feel
Find joy and calm and treat yourself to loads of love and self-care
Who it’s for?
No previous skills or experience needed because everyone can do this at their own pace and in their own way.
I’ve also included some some helpful prompts to get started with if you feel more comfortable using some already thought of ones (see in course).
Some supplies needed are:
an envelope
a card paper or letter writing paper
a pencil
markers and color pencils or crayons (colors of your choice)
scissors
glue
You will beautify a card or letter writing paper and an envelope in your own unique style and colors. Then you will write yourself a love letter or love message, with words that you need to hear and that speak to you in the moment.
Some ideas of different letters you could write yourself:
a letter for when I’m going through a difficult time
a letter to younger self
an encouragement/motivational letter
a physical or practical letter of steps you can take towards goals
a thank you letter
a letter to your future self...
