Lean Manager/ Lean Practitioner Master Class

Lean Manager/ Lean Practitioner Master Class

Importance of lean grown post second world war in Japan in pursuit to perfection in product and services. Organization started to implement lean to improve organization effectiveness, business & operational excellence agenda, improve productivity of people, system and processes, improve margins (value generation), improve organizational culture “high performing team” and minimize operating cost/ general wastes.

In my career, I have seen organization send employees abroad to learn about lean six sigma, lean and various quality improvement tools and employee’s comeback with nice certificates. However, they struggle or cannot implement lean within office, cannot complete A3 lean project, cannot align lean initiatives with organizational mandate and cannot realize the value of lean due to misalignment. They comeback filled with theoretical concept of lean, many lean tools and unable to implement lean practically in office or field environment.

I did an experiment, an employee was certified in lean six sigma green belt and I asked him, complete one project of lean within office/ field environment and he struggled to find a topic to pursue lean project. Of course, he understood many tools within lean concept but the gap between concept of lean and reality of implementation was obvious. I was like him as well and it was really challenging to figure out where & how to start.

Many organizations within oil & gas, energy sector, banking, logistics, aviation, ports, etc. and even government entities head hunt experienced lean practitioners due to scarcity of this skillset in the market to improve their processes, system & people to become more efficient & effective in what they do.

During my career, I was privileged to visit many organizations within gulf region – GCC, Europe, UK and Japan to view firsthand lean implementation as well as I have implemented lean within aviation industry, upstream and downstream of oil & gas in technical and non-technical functions.

In this program, I have designed it to be lean, almost 1.5 hours in total but very rich in practical content, things that are required to implement lean within any organization. It consists of five chapters in total which include concept of lean, process mapping, visual management dashboard, A3 lean project and lean implementation strategy within any organization. It is recommended to take your own notes, stop and reply whenever required and complete the course within 3 to five days as well as to answer all reflective questions at end of each chapter. This is to ensure learning objectives are met and practical skillset are understood.

If you are a graduate who aspire to get a job within lean, continuous improvement, business excellence or operational excellence arena, a professional who aim to develop your skillset to improve processes, systems and teams to become more efficient and effective at what you do or an executive who aims to build continuous improvement culture within your organization this program is designed especially for you.
